“The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) was established in 1986 to promote research into obesity, facilitate contact between individuals and organisations, and promote action that tackles the obesity epidemic. The association comprises 30 National Association members representing more than 4000 individuals and plays a major role in EU/WHO projects.
Each year we host the annual European Congress on Obesity (ECO). In May, 2011 we were in Istanbul. As you can imagine, with such a large number of people and places to organise, we needed to have our data in good working order. This is where Working Data stepped in. They compiled the data we had gathered from several sources and presented us with one, single, clean mailing list with which we could be confident to approach potential congress attendees. Leamington Sight & Sound is a National Sound Lighting and Video company to the corporate, retail, leisure and entertainment sectors. We have been around now for some thirty years. So imagine all that data for all those customers, well that’s exactly what we did many years ago when trying to work out what Win95 was all about, and couldn’t we put all of this on one of these database things as it’s now easier than windows 3.11, don’t laugh, you’ve all been there.
So having had a database written for us all those years ago by someone who is off now doing rocket science databases, we became aware that all was not well, quick or easy. We had this bit of info and that bit, having to come in and out of things to find where they were, what we had done and when. So having had a big whinge about it one day we came across Franc “Working Data” and he was exactly that. Disasters have forged mankind’s progress and according to Franc we were a disaster, I say were, cause look at us now.
We have a database now that is not only secure and backed up properly, but everything is in one place with great search facilities and we link to our image library. So ring us up dear client and ask us when we last attended one of your sites, what equipment is in there, what we did and even what it looks like in situ, cause we’ve got the “Working Data” (ouch) now to do it.
