It is not possible to give you a quote for your custom software
until we meet for your free consultation. However, we would like
to give you some idea of the breakdown of time and cost. The following
example is based on a simple stock and invoice system.

Initial Discussion
- 3 hours at client's site.
- The IT infrastructure is already appropriate (PC's are of a suitable spec to
handle the software).
- Client identifies that no training
is required as it is a simple system designed to the
client's specification.
- No Charge

Proposal & Quote
Within a week, Working Data have prepared a fully
detailed proposal and quote.
- No. of users − 5.
- No. of records to prepare for transfer to new system − 50,000.
- Time to develop system − 3 days.
- Time to prepare data − 1 day.
- Time to upload software & data − 1 day.
- Total − 5 days. Fixed Price − £1,200.
- Fixed price includes all 5 users and all the data to be prepared for transfer.
- Implementation Date − As requested by client.
- No Charge

Development & Training
The client has engaged Working Data.
- Work begins at the date required to meet the client's
requested implementation date.
- No training required, as identified with client.

Implementation
- New system installed.
- Existing data transferred.
- Carried out on 1 day at the weekend as requested by client.

|
Post-Implementation Support
- Working Data present on site to assist
with any questions or queries.
- Spelling error found in invoice, Working Data make the
required correction and update the same day.
- Post-Implementation Support is included in the fixed price.
- When client is completely satisfied, Working Data
issues invoice to client.
